The 19th Australian Institute of Physics Congress incorporating the 35th Australian Conference on Optical Fibre Technology was held 5 – 9 December 2010 at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre, Victoria.

The meeting was attended by 800 physicists and industry professionals and showcased the strength and diversity of Australian physics and optical fibre research.

We would like to thank the plenary and invited speakers for sharing their time and expertise as well as delegates who contributed to our stimulating program by making oral and poster presentations. We also thank our sponsors and exhibitors whose support is most appreciated.

We hope to see many of you at next year’s IQEC/CLEO Pacific Rim Conference 2011 which will be held 28 August – 1 September 2011 at the Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre.

IQEC/CLEO Pacific Rim 2011 will incorporate:

The 20th Congress of the Australian Institute of Physics is tentatively scheduled to be held in December 2012 in Sydney. This will coincide with celebrations of the 50th anniversary of the AIP.
